Crafting an Easter Embellishment Box for a Vianney Creates Swap

I became addicted to watching crafty videos during the pandemic and one of my favorites is Vianney Creates. She has so many tips and tricks about paper crafting, and such a fun casual style to her tutorials.

I decided to try joining one of her fun swaps, and was able to get in with her “Spring into Easter” Embellishment Box swap. The main premise was to decorate a Dollar Tree craft storage container and include 12 paper embellishment items inside.

I found a bunch of super cute items to add to the little compartments, such as Easter shape confetti, wood shapes, ribbon and gem flowers, and spring-colored trims. Vianney also asked us to craft some of the items. I chose to make layered butterflies, ribbon bows, owl bead charms, and a fun “Happy Easter” garland.

We also needed to included a little crafty gift and handmade card. I found a cute can coozie that said “Make Pretty Things” and magnetic bookmarks – plus chocolate of course! And for my card, I used a floral bunny die from Crafter’s Companion. I used this die last year for my Easter cards, and it’s a perfect size to fill a card front on top of pretty patterned paper.

Creating my crafty items for this swap was so much fun, and I can’t wait to see the crafty goodies I’ll receive from my swap partners. Thanks Vianney!
