Try Something New – Coloring Stamps with Alcohol Markers & Ink Blends

I spent a little time stamping out pretty images for some relaxing detail coloring. I like to make a big batch of images that I can color – just like a coloring book. Then blend in some ink into the backgrounds to take away the stark white paper and make the images pop. It’s so fun and easy to practice crafting little art pieces, and then assembling them into cards. For some, I stamped the images in a color instead of black. Then I added colored in, blending with the alcohol markers. Go to my tutorial about blending…

Crafting Quick Birthday Cards Using a Colorful Paper Pack

Need to craft a batch of quick cards? Check out these cards using Splendid by Paige Evans from American Crafts with a fun colorful theme. I put together 18 cards in one afternoon and gave little packs of them as gifts. I placed two of them in cellophane bags and added a pretty ribbon bow. I hope my friends enjoyed their little gift and can use…

Crafty “Hello Spring” Wood Slice Party Favors

I hosted a ladies lunch this spring and decided to craft some pretty party favors for my friends. These little cuties started as a 4 inch diameter log for the fire that I asked my husband to slice into 1/2 inch thick pieces for me. (If you don’t have a way to cut them, wood slices are also available to buy from places like Walmart and Hobby Lobby.) Then he drilled 1/8 holes at the top for twine to hang up and brighten a little space. I painted the fronts with black acrylic paint and wrote…
