Crafting Crafter’s Companion Watercolor Christmas Cards

I love Crafter’s Companion cardmaking collections, and I selected the Watercolor Christmas for crafting my cards this year. The paper color palette has such a soft feeling, with winter foliage, snowflakes, and woodland critters – all celebrating the Christmas season. The stamps have different scene builders like a little tree to decorate, a banner, presents, and a sled.

But the kicker for me is the idea of watercoloring the stamps. It’s really kind of a “faux” watercoloring, using the Crafters’ Companion Aqua Markers. I just love how easy they are to use and how quickly I can add color to several stamps to make multiple cards. Be sure to use watercolor card stock and waterproof stamping ink. Then you can just blob on two shades of the same color in the little spaces, and blend with a damp brush. Love it!

This 4 x 6 inch card includes a 3D scene by die cutting a stitched oval in the front of a folding box in the back of the card, which can fold flat to mail. Check out that cute snowman with his critter friends!

The paper pad has a few pages of card toppers, so beautiful cards can be made in a snap. On these two simple cards, I added dimension to the toppers with watercolored woodland friends on foam pads and a sprinkle of faux snow.

This easel shaker card with dark blue patterned paper lets the snow balls and snowy acetate pop. The collection also includes a “Let it Snow” die cut with a shadow layer that can be used as the easel stopper. Don’t you love how the tan bird inside the shaker is tweeting with the red bird perched on a snowflake? So fun!

How about a Z-fold card of a wooded snowy scene? All the animals are gathering to decorate the tree and exchange gifts. It is magical.

I’m definitely having lots of fun with watercolor Christmas collection, and it’s bringing me the Christmas spirit!
