Crafting Homemade Macrame Cards with My New Favorite Die Set!

I absolutely love this stamp and die set by My Creative Life called Homespun. The macrame dies are so intricate and easy to cut out. Then I can get creative with fun dimensional embellishments. It’s like I’m weaving my own little macrame wall art. The sentiments like “I can knot thank you enough…” and “hang in there” take it to another cuteness level.

I paired it with Crafter’s Companion Bohemian Collection, especially the Bohemian paper pad with its layered imagery of dream catchers, pretty beads, feathers, and florals in a gorgeous jewel-toned color palette. The mini macrame stands out beautifully as a focal point.

The cards are the perfect opportunity to pull out all the little embellishments we all have been collecting over the years – little beads, gems, butterflies, wooden bits, sequins, and tassels. Even little gold paperclips – so fun!

I tried a few different card bases, like cutting the front edge short to reveal the another hanging macrame plant from the inside, or a decorative edge die along the front to let the inside pattern paper show through.

I also added texture with embossing folders on the tag shapes and enhanced the design with some tone-on-tone ink.

I can’t get enough of this set, and I hope it inspires you to craft some bohemian makes yourself!
