Mother & Daughter Cotton Cord Convertible Bracelets & Necklaces

Here’s a super simple crafty idea for a mother and daughter – cotton bohemian cord convertible bracelets & necklaces. I named these convertible because the length that wraps around the wrist twice is the perfect length for a single wrap necklace. So clever!

I found these cute supplies to make this summery jewelry, then they promptly disappeared from the store shelves! But I decided to share anyway in hopes they will make a comeback. The star of this look is the colorful casual cord, accented with a simple embellishment.

Supplies:
Cotton bohemian cord (5 mm)
Small tassels or other small pendant
Lobster claw clasps (12 mm)
Cord ends (5 mm)
Small jump rings (not pictured)
Jewelry glue

Cut the cotton cord to length. The length should feel comfortable around the wrist two times, noting there will be a little extra length with the clasp. For my 13 year old and I, our lengths were 16 1/2 inches and 15 inches.

Add the tassels. This is especially important for the type I used because the rings are solid and cannot be opened to add after adding the clasps.

Glue the cord ends onto the cords at both ends. My cord fit in the ends tightly, but I was able to push the fibers in with a toothpick. Let dry.

Add the lobster claw clasp to one end with a jump ring.

That’s it! Super easy and super cute. Enjoy!
