Craft Easy Dollar Tree Christmas Decor

I ran across some super creative Dollar Tree Christmas crafting videos on YouTube and thought I would try some for fun. I especially like Holly’s style at Hot Humble Pie. She has such clever ideas and gives some really great hints and techniques to step up our crafty makes. We have a newer Dollar Tree in my area, so I added it to the tour and hit 3 different stores to see which of the crafty items I could find. I used Holly’s style of farmhouse vintage and the colors of red, green, black and white…

Simple-to-Sew Holiday Placemats

I’ve been sewing up these simple placemats for years for our church bazaar, and they are great sellers every time. The key to creating a high-end impression with this simple design is the fabric selection. I bought two panels – an advent calendar and woodland scene blocks. http://www.northcott.com/product-detail.aspx?fbid=1&colid=2395&colorid=3180 The best part about the advent calendar is the unique way…

Christmas Card 2018

For this year’s Christmas card, I used my new toy, the Gemini Die Cutting / Embossing Machine. It’s electric vs. the hand crank, so it’s easier to craft multiple and intricate dies. This was the first time I used it for a big project and I really like it! I made 30 cards using a set of embossing folders, a Merry Christmas die, and some extra stickers and embellishments I had in my craft stash. For the cards, I used 5 x 7 kraft paper cards and envelopes I bought at Hobby Lobby (I found…
